ÆTHELGON is an electronic music artist, curator, and event organiser whose sound and creative philosophy have been shaped by 13 formative years spent living in England, United Kingdom. Immersed in the country’s influential underground music culture, he became a regular attendee at internationally renowned venues and events including Fabric, Printworks London, E1 London, and Tobacco Dock. These experiences played a defining role in shaping both his musical identity and his understanding of atmosphere, rhythm, and human interaction within cultural environments.With a background in architecture, ÆTHELGON approaches music with a strong sense of structure, balance, and progression. Much like architectural thinking, his sets are carefully constructed journeys — layering texture, emotion, and movement with precision and intention. This perspective informs the way he shapes energy across a dance floor, creating immersive sonic experiences that evolve organically from warm, intimate openings into powerful late-night moments. He is known for his refined musical selection and versatility behind the decks, ÆTHELGON delivers immersive sets spanning minimal, deep house, melodic house, house, and tech house. His sound is driven by groove, atmosphere, and emotional storytelling, with a focus on creating deep connection and flow throughout extended performances.Beginning his DJ career within Nottingham’s local bar and underground circuit, ÆTHELGON developed the ability to program music across the full duration of an event — from ambient and downtempo selections during early sessions to driving peak-time rhythms that carried dance floors through until sunrise. This foundation shaped his versatile and immersive approach to DJing, later earning him a featured 3-hour guest mix invitation on MIMM Radio, an underground electronic music station based in Nottingham. Beyond traditional clubs and bars, his work has also expanded into arts space curation, cultural programming, and multidisciplinary creative experiences, with a strong interest in how sound interacts with space, visual environments, and human movement. Through this approach, ÆTHELGON curates experiences that blur the boundaries between underground electronic music, contemporary art, and community gathering — creating intimate, atmospheric environments where music becomes part of a larger sensory and cultural experience.ÆTHELGON draws inspiration from a broad spectrum of genres including classical, jazz, blues, hip-hop, indie, and folk music. This diverse musical background contributes to the depth, texture, and storytelling woven throughout his performances. A strong believer in the connection between music, movement, and human energy, he also practices Capoeira — the Brazilian martial art that combines rhythm, movement, and expression. His fluid movement style earned him the capoeira name “Ganggora,” meaning “see-saw” in Portuguese. Alongside this, yoga and mindfulness practices continue to shape his artistic philosophy, influencing the atmospheric and meditative qualities often present within his deeper selections.Alongside his work as a DJ, ÆTHELGON is the founder and curator of Sonic Moves, an independent underground electronic music platform dedicated to intimate, forward-thinking experiences that celebrate authentic underground culture, community, spatial atmosphere, and carefully curated sound. Through Sonic Moves, he continues to explore the intersection between music, movement, culture, and immersive environments — building experiences that prioritise connection, artistic integrity, and meaningful underground expression.
